Food Banks were created to reclaim food that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it to people in need. That ideal is still at the heart of a significant percentage of the food we obtain and distribute. However, produce remains inaccessible to those on a tight grocery budget. We utilize our garden to assist in giving our clients additional nutritious choices. NEIFB growing practices vary with each product. We have many volunteers that assist with planning their portion of the garden and all pitch in to harvest! Visit the garden and a volunteer will be available to give you a tour and answer any questions! Tours will be at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m, and 3 p.m. (Restrooms available)
