Get Involved in the Local Food Scene

This month, we’re shining a light on the many ways you can engage with our region’s vibrant local food community. Whether you’re looking to build connections, share resources, or give back, there’s a place for everyone to get involved.

🥬Join a Local Food Coalition: Coalitions bridge relationships, tech, and business for a sustainable local food system—health, economic, and environmental gains. Join the Cedar Valley Regional Food & Farm Network Coalition. We meet every other month!

🥬Join a Local Food Community: Connect with non-profits or become a member of a local or state-level organization to expand your network and strengthen the local food movement.

🥬Spread the Word: Love your local farmers market? Found a local product you can’t live without? Share it with friends and family! Word of mouth is one of the highest compliments for small farms and producers. You can also use #GrowEatPlay to spread the word on social media!

🥬Share a Resource: Sharing is caring! Help others grow food, find a new favorite recipe, or explore a local CSA option by sharing useful local food resources.

🥬Volunteer: Find a local food bank or pantry, mutual aid group, community garden, or a farmer’s market looking for volunteers. Supportive Organizations >

🥬 Join a Board: Help make important decisions about how organizations operate and make your voice heard. Supportive Organizations >
