The Cedar Valley Regional Food & Farm Network was formed in 2018, when the Cedar Valley Good Food Network and the Northern Iowa Food & Farm Partnership allied. We realized that both of these groups had many overlapping areas, and we knew we could do more by working together.
CVRFFN meets four times per year and works on convening our region’s key organizations and leaders, in order to achieve our mission goals:
We aim to be a catalyst for collaboration towards the region’s community food-related needs and understanding food insecurity.
We aim to raise awareness of local food resources for our region.
We aim to help create food- and farm-related economic opportunities.
If you are interested in any of these goals, we invite you to come join us for a quarterly meeting! Whether you are a producer, such as a farm; a provider, such as a farmers market; a promoter, such as a health clinic; or a citizen of the Cedar Valley who is passionate for our cause — we would love to see you there.
Feel free to reach out to us by emailing cvrffn@gmail.com, and by finding us on Facebook at facebook.com/cvrffn.
