Farmers Markets accept Double Up Food Bucks

Hello Friends,

Are you a SNAP/EBT recipient? Are you shopping for a heart healthy diet, gluten free food, healthy carbs and more?

You can find lots of choices at the College Hill Farmers Market and Waterloo Urban Farmers Market. The markets are open through October 28th and October 30th.

Both markets are authorized to accept SNAP/EBT and offer Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB). DUFB is a program that matches every dollar you spend with your SNAP/EBT card. If you spend $5 you get an additional $5 to spend on fruits and vegetables. You can spend up to$10 in one transaction. Look for the information tent at College Hill Farmers Market and Waterloo Urban Farmers Market to swipe your EBT card. You will receive tokens for the amount you plan to spend for SNAP/EBT at the market and DUFB cards to match the amount spent on SNAP/EBT. Participating vendors will accept the SNAP/EBT Tokens and DUFB cards. DUFB can only be used on fruits and vegetables.

You can follow both markets on Facebook and Instagram to get more information and see what is new with the market.
