Cooks Fruits and Vegetables We have sweet corn, tomatoes, onions, peas on the farm. Come check it out and learn about our growing practices.

Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanical Garden The Arboretum has an Orchard! We have several fruit trees, Pears, Plums, Cherries, and Apples. Our Orchard is pollinated by our Apiary and the Butterfly Meadow that we have close by. These were planted in 2015, so these trees are still juveniles. Some produce fruit while others are still maturing. There will be tours of the orchard, Arboretum, and information about the benefits of the Apiary and Butterfly Meadow!

Dr. Walter Cunningham School Garden Our garden was installed in fall 2017 and has been utilized as an after school program, summer programs, and during the school day. See what students are growing this year!

Hope Tree Acres We are located on a ten acre former lumber yard in the heart of Waterloo. In the center yard we have a 1/2 acre urban garden. We strive to use heirloom seeds and natural gardening practices. The purpose of our garden is to provide a therapeutic benefit and food production for the community free of charge. We do not use chemical fertilizer and pesticides. We are 501c3 volunteer run organization and in our 5th year.

Jesse Cosby Center community garden provides free fresh produce to our senior clients, individuals, and families we serve. We grow culturally relevant food including collard greens, purple hull peas, okra, and more. Weekly gardening classes hosted by We Arose Co-op are offered every Wednesday 8-10 a.m.

Litteaur’s Garden Produce We are located on a family farm in Waterloo. We have 9 acres of vegetable production with approximately 15 different vegetables including asparagus, bell peppers, greens, pumpkins, squash, tomatoes, winter squash.

Northeast Iowa Food Bank Produce remains inaccessible to those on a tight grocery budget. That’s why we utilize our garden to assist in giving our clients nutritious choices. Our community garden provides the people we serve with healthy food grown in their community.

Peoples Community Health Clinic Garden operates a 1/3 of an acre vegetable garden, Peoples Garden, on the clinic grounds, and all the produce go to the clients at the clinic as well as weekly delivery to certain patients.   The garden is a collaboration between the UNI Local Food Program and Peoples Clinic, and AmeriCorps members, and volunteers.

We Arose Co-op We are dedicated to elevating urban farming cooperation by building community and increasing access to affordable and local, healthy food options.
